Refill Beads for Japanese-Style tetra Bean Bag
Restore the comfort and support of your bean bag with premium refill beads designed for Japanese-style bean bags.
Made from Foamed Polystyrene (PS) & Polyethylene (PE) Beads with an approximate diameter of 5 mm, these refill beads provide the ideal balance of structure and flexibility. They move smoothly inside the bean bag to contour to your body while maintaining long-lasting support for everyday use.
These refill beads are recommended when your tetra bean bag has become flatter over time or when you prefer a firmer seating experience.
Recommended Refill Amount
A new tetra bean bag cushion is filled with premium beads.
As a general reference:
- Mini Size: approximately 16 L
- Regular Size: approximately 80 L
- Big Size: approximately 200 L
The amount of refill required depends on how much your bean bag has settled over time. For most customers, we recommend starting with 1–2 bags and adding more only if additional firmness is desired.
If this is your first refill, there is no need to remove the existing beads. Simply add the new refill beads to restore your cushion's volume and comfort.
After the second or third refill, the total amount of beads, and therefore the overall weight of the bean bag, may increase significantly. At that stage, we recommend replacing all of the beads to restore the original comfort and support of your cushion.

The foamed beads are made from a compression-resistant material to help maintain their shape over time. However, like all bean bag filling, the beads will gradually compress with regular use and natural aging.

Refilling Instructions:
Open the double zipper located on the back of your tetra bean bag cushion.
Gradually add the refill beads until your desired firmness and volume are achieved.
To reduce static electricity and minimize bead spillage, we recommend using a cup or scoop to transfer the beads into the cushion.
For best results, refill the cushion in a clean, draft-free environment to prevent the lightweight beads from scattering.
